1940’s Lou Boudreau Baseball Glove in the Original Box. This exceptional vintage baseball glove has never been used, the leather is very supple and the silver markings are completely intact. The maker of the glove is M. Sharf and Co. from Boston, Massachusetts… an unusual maker! Included in the box with the glove is a small pamphlet entitled “The Finer Points of Baseball.” Lou Boudreau enjoyed a successful professional baseball career as a player from 1938 to 1952. In 1948 he was the MVP of the American League and as player/manager, he led the Cleveland Indians to become the World Series Champions! Additional awards include being a member of the American League All-Star team 8 times, being named the Major League Player of the Year in 1948, and of course, being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970.
