1890’s Quilted Leather Football Shoulder Pads
Representing the first form of shoulder protection, these independent pads were designed to be sewn onto the sweater or jersey. They were offered by Spalding, Victor and other leading manufacturers during this era. Considered EXTREMELY RARE, this pair remains in outstanding EX-MT condition! Shown above is a Princeton football player. They were worn by most of the Ivy League football teams and players from other major colleges.
